One of our favorite things about The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas—and, let’s face it, that’s a long list—is the diverse musical lineup that the resort summons to its unique venues, from classic rock icons and hot indie bands to EDM giants and country superstars. Whether we’re talking about the intimate experience of industrial-chic concert hall The Chelsea or the outdoor festival atmosphere of the Strip-side Boulevard Pool, concerts at The Cosmopolitan are always special events. And this spring’s lineup is just as special.
Dierks Bentley
March 3-4 | The Chelsea
What’s better than a night with country music star Dierks Bentley at The Chelsea? Two nights, of course. The singer-songwriter behind such No. 1 hits as “What Was I Thinkin’,” “Say You Do” and “Different for Girls” will bring his “What the Hell” World Tour to The Cosmopolitan for back-to-back concerts, and he’s bringing fellow Nashville hit-maker Cole Swindell with him. Can we call this a Dierks Bentley mini-residency? Well, it doesn’t matter—we just did.
Flogging Molly
March 16 | Boulevard Pool
It wouldn’t be St. Patrick’s Day without a few things: Green beer. Corned beef. Shamrock Shakes. And, of course, a rollicking performance by Flogging Molly. Yes, technically St. Patrick’s Day is March 17, but by the time you’re done raising glasses and singing along to this Los Angeles-spawned Irish punk band’s Celtic-flavored rock anthems, it’ll be just about time for the Feast of Saint Patrick to begin.
Death Cab for Cutie
March 17 | The Chelsea
The quirkily named indie rock band, known for its romantic, haunting, yet radio-friendly songs like “Crooked Teeth” “Soul Meets Body” and “You Are a Tourist,” is no stranger to Las Vegas—Ben Gibbard and Co. were here just two years ago at downtown’s Life is Beautiful festival. But the chance to see Death Cab for Cutie in a space as special as The Chelsea is not something to pass up, especially with the quintet playing so few shows this spring.
Maluma
March 24 | The Chelsea
Colombian reggaeton singer—and occasional TV talent show judge—Maluma is in the midst of his first-ever headlining world tour, named “Pretty Boy, Dirty World” in support of his second album, Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy. The 23-year-old rising star (who won “Colombian Artist of the Year” at 2014’s MTV Millennial Awards) will bring some Latin pop flavor to The Chelsea with such chart-topping hits as “Borró Cassette,” “El Perdedor,” and “Sin Contrato.”
Bastille
April 14 | The Chelsea
We’re not sure The Chelsea will be able to contain the manic energy of British indie pop band Bastille or—especially—its rabid fans, but we intend to find out. It’s the first time at The Chelsea for the group, whose sound our resident Bastille super-fan describes as “a sea of black and white splashed with color – it’s as if there are rays of hope in a storm of melancholy.” And if you’ve ever grooved to such international hits as “Pompeii,” “Of the Night,” and “Good Grief,” you know exactly what he means.
Empire of the Sun

There’s a good chance by the time you read this sentence, tickets to see Empire of the Sun will be close to sold out. So we won’t be offended if you already clicked the link above to get your tickets for this alt-electronic pioneer’s return to The Chelsea, and therefore are no longer reading. But if you’re still here, and need more convincing of how much your mind will be blown by the visual and aural spectacle that Empire of the Sun brings to every one of their performances, well, there you go.
Band of Horses
May 26 | The Chelsea
They’ve played with Neil Young. They’ve played with Pearl Jam. And now GRAMMY-nominated indie rock quintet Band of Horses is back in the headlining saddle, touring behind its most recent release, Why Are You OK. It’s been four years since the South Carolina-based band brought its beautiful and bittersweet songs to The Cosmopolitan (last time was at Boulevard Pool), so fans can expect an entirely different experience—and set list—this time around.
